Several weeks ago a friend and I were able to volunteer with Rice Design Alliance (RDA) as docents for their annual architecture tour. The theme was "Living with Art, showcasing eight significant houses in Houston that exhibit impressive art collections and the structures that feature their collection. The houses on the tour demonstrate how living with art changes the dynamics of a house and reshape architecture." This was a great volunteer opportunity as it was very educational for me, and I had a fun time interacting with the public. Later the same weekend while walking Hampton, I noticed my dream home had a little white tent out front and appeared to be on some kind of home tour. I was confused because I knew for certain it was not on the same home tour I had volunteered with. SPL inquired at the booth and we discovered that Southampton/Museum District was having their own Home Tour!! I could hear my mother's voice in my head telling me not to pass up an opportunity to see inside my dream home!
