I was thrilled to attend Charity Ball this year, my first year as an active.  Annually this is the largest fundraiser JLH undertakes.  This year, over three nights, with more than 850 guests, we raised over $930,000 for our Community Program.  The League provides trained volunteers and funding to more than 36 Community Projects, organizations like Houston Food Bank, MFAH, and Star of Hope.  A group from my placement got a table together and we had a ridiculously good time.  We may have had so much fun during dinner that we elicited dirty stares from the table next to us!! Perfectly fitting that our table was in the Tea Room.
 There was a cocktail hour, seated dinner, variety show (featuring JLH members) and after party.
 The grounds adjacent to the Tea Room were tented and the building was transformed into the perfect setting for a gala. After the variety show, the Ball Room was set up as a lounge for after hours dancing!
I may have missed the memo to wear black ;) but loved wearing my colorful Lilly!!  Such a fun night supporting a wonderful organization.  I am proud to contribute to the city I love through the Junior League of Houston.
